You may be eligible for this visa if you have an internationally recognised record of exceptional and outstanding achievement in a qualifying field.

What You Can Do & How Long You Can Stay

This is a permanent visa.
You can travel to and from Australia multiple times.
You can work in Australia whilst on this visa.
You can bring family members to Australia.
You may be eligible for a Bridging Visa to remain in Australia while waiting for this visa to be processed.

Limitations and Important Things to Know

If you are under 18 or over 55, you must demonstrate that you will be of exceptional benefit to the Australian community.
If you are applying inside Australia, you need to hold a visa.
The standards for meeting “exceptional and outstanding achievement” are high, but are not designed to be prohibitive. In practice, this means that your achievements should be prominent and superior, and have international standing.
You need to be endorsed or nominated by an Australian citizen, permanent resident, eligible New Zealand citizen or Australian organisation. They must be recognised in Australia in your field of achievement.
In general, you need to submit an Expression of Interest and be invited to apply.
In general, you will need meet minimum English requirements or pay an additional visa application charge.
