E-visitor Visa (Subclass 651)

Overview

This is an electronic visa. It is free to apply, however only passport holders from certain countries are eligible

This may be the right visa for you if:

  • You want to visit Australia for a short period for tourism or similar purposes, and you want a visa that is free and quick to apply for.

What You Can Do & How Long You Can Stay

  • You can travel to Australia multiple times for 12 months.
  • You can stay in Australia for up to 3 months from each entry.
  • You can conduct business visitor activities.
  • Usually, you can study or train up to 3 months whilst on this visa.

Limitations and Important Things to Know

  • You must hold a passport from an eligible country
  • You must be outside Australia to apply for this visa.
  • You cannot work whilst on this visa.

  • Demonstrate that you are a Genuine Temporary Entrant

  • Meet character requirements
  • Have made arrangements to pay any outstanding government debts
  • Not have had any visas refused or cancelled previously
