If you are an international student who has recently completed your studies, this visa allows you to live and work in Australia for up to 4 years.

What You Can Do & How Long You Can Stay

This is a temporary visa lasting between 18 months to 4 years. Due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, longer stays and extensions of up to two years may also be available, depending on your circumstances and visa stream.
You can travel to and from Australia multiple times.
You can work in Australia whilst on this visa.
You can bring family members to Australia.
You may be eligible for a Bridging Visa to remain in Australia while waiting for this visa to be processed.

Limitations and Important Things to Know

You must be under 50 years old.
You must have held a Student Visa within the last 6 months.
Your course must have required at least 2 academic years of study, conducted in Australia. You must not have completed your course in under 16 months. This is known as the “Australian Study Requirement”.
If your first Student Visa was granted before 5 November 2011, you will only be eligible for certain streams of this visa.
Depending on your country of citizenship, you may have to meet minimum English requirements.
There are a number of concessions for graduates who were affected by the COVID-19 pandemic or who have skills that are in demand in Australia. These include lowered eligibility requirements and extensions on the period of stay. Contact us for more information.
