Work and Holiday Visa (Subclass 462)

Overview

For young adults who want an extended holiday in Australia whilst being able to work.

You must hold a passport from one of these countries to apply for this visa.

What You Can Do & How Long You Can Stay

You can travel to Australia multiple times for 12 months. You can apply for a second and third Working Holiday Visa to extend your stay.
You can stay in Australia for 12 months from your first entry.
You can work for any employer, however usually only for 6 months.
Generally, you can study or train up to 4 months whilst on this visa.

Limitations and Important Things to Know

You must be outside Australia to apply for the first Work and Holiday Visa.
You may be restricted to working for a maximum of 6 months with any single employer.
You must do 3 – 6 months of specified work to be eligible for further Working Holiday visas.
You cannot bring family with you on this visa.
